Shelton Jackson "Spike" Lee (born March 20, 1957) is a film director, author, journalist, and actor from America. Since 1983 his production company, 40 Acres and a Mule Filmworks, has made over 35 films.His directorial debut was made with She's Got ta Have It (1986). Since then he has produced and directed movies such as Do The Right Thing (1989), Jungle Fever (1991), Malcolm X (1992), He Got Game (1998), The First Kings of Comedy (2000), 25th Hour (2002), Inside Guy (2006), Chi-Raq (2015), and BlacKkKlansman (2018). Lee also took part in ten of his plays.
