An American musician, singer and songwriter, Travis Lazarus "Travie" McCoy (born August 5, 1981). In addition to having a solo career he is the co-founder and former lead vocalist of the rap rock band Gym Class Heroes. As a teenager McCoy became involved in punk rock scenes.He formed the band Gym Class Heroes with childhood friend Matt McGinley, and the band was signed to Fueled by Ramen who released their debut album after many changes in lineup. Gym Class Heroes took a three-year music hiatus, allowing McCoy to focus on his solo career; in 2010, McCoy released his first solo album, Lazarus.
