Tatyana Marisol Ali was born on 24 January 1979.She started singing at the age of four and got a taste of success when she asked her mother to take her to a Sesame Street audition (1969). She starred in many plays in her hometown of New York, including the Broadway play "Fences "— with James Earl Jones and later Billy Dee Williams — and the" Orfeo del Campo "off-Broadway show. She appeared on Star Search (1983) when she was seven and won twice, when she competed for a second time, earning a four-star ranking.
