His younger siblings are Jim Troughton, a retired Warwickshire cricketer, and William Troughton, an actor. Troughton studied drama at Hull University, and graduated in 1998.Troughton is an actor in Shakespeare who has collaborated with the Royal Shakespeare Company. He 's appeared in the horror movies Spirit Trap and Alien vs. Predator, and a variety of TV projects including Sky One's Curse.
