Nigel George Planer (born 22 February 1953) is an English actor, comedian, novelist, and playwright who played Neil in Filthy Rich & Catflap's cult BBC comedy The Young Ones and Ralph Filthy. He has appeared in many musicals from the West End, including original Evita, Chicago, We Will Rock You, Wicked, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory casts. He also made an appearance in Hairspray.In 1984 he won a BRIT award and was nominated for Olivier, TMA, What's On Stage and BAFTA awards.
