Martin Lawrence was born as Martin Fitzgerald Lawrence on 16 April 1965 in Frankfurt am Main, Hesse, Germany. Best for Martin (1992), Bad Boys II (2003), and Bad Boys (1995), he is an actor and novelist. He was formerly married to Pat Smith and Shamicka Gibbs. Was barred from performing on NBC on 19 February 1994 because he anchored Saturday Night Live (1975). He decided not to do his opening monolog as expected, in order to satisfy network censors. He did his routine anyway, though, and this provoked the wrath of the top brass on the network. A few years later the ban was reversed. Lawrence is also not permitted to turn up on SNL, however.
