Since 1997 she was married to Ron Shelton. They have one kid.Intentionally gained weight in Blaze (1989) to play the part of curvy stripper Flame Starr of the 1950s, which she won against 600 other actresses. The daughter of emigrants from the former Yugoslavia, her father was from Belgrade, Serbia's capital and her Slovenian mother. In her early years in Canada Lolita spoke only Serbian-Croatian. Her parents divorced when she was 10 and she lived with her mother.
