Catherine Beatrice Margaret Derham (born 18 June 1970) is an English newscaster and a TV and radio host. Derham was born in Canterbury on 18 June 1970, teacher Kent to Margaret, and chemist for Pfizer John Derham. Within a year of her birth the family moved to Cheshire and she grew up in Wilmslow. Derham started her broadcasting career at the BBC, starting on Radio 4's Money Box as a researcher. For her role as a host on Radio 5 Live's Moneycheck she received the Bradford & Bingley "Best Personal Finance Interviewer Award" in 1995.
