Mary Kathleen Turner is an American film and stage actress and producer, better known as Kathleen Turner. Turner is known for her signature trash voice, having won two Golden Globe Awards and has secured an Academy Award.Kathleen Turner was born on 19 June 1954, Patsy (Magee) and Allen Richard Turner, U.S.A., in the Springfield, Missouri area. Officer for Foreign Service. In 1972 she graduated from London's American School. Upon his father's death, the Turner family moved back to the US where Kathleen then went for two years to Missouri State University and received her BA from Maryland County Baltimore College (UMBC) in 1977. Kathleen debuted at the Body Heat (1981) movies, and she was one of the most glamorous roles in film history as the persistent Matty Waker gave her unprecedented popularity.
