How tall is Joel Grey?
Joel Grey's friend, Mickey Katz, created early 1950s "Borscht Capades." Mickey Katz was a guitarist in bands across the East — a clarinetist and a saxophone player. Playing in a band in Cleveland, Ohio, where Joel Grey was born, Mickey played. Spike Jones, guitarist and bandleader, wanted a clarinet player who could do some funny parts. One day at the Sunset Boulevard RCA-Victor recording studio in Hollywood, his father Mickey was doing a recording session, and during a break, Mickey also wrote parodies of pop songs for fun and had just composed this parody — to one of the other Jewish musicians he was performing it.
