James Peter Greaves (born February 20, 1940) is a former football player from England who played as a midfielder. He's the fourth highest foreign goal scorer in England (44 goals), the best ever goal scorer in Tottenham Hotspur (266 goals), the biggest goal scorer in English top-flight football history (357 goals), and has even scored more hat-tricks (six) for England than anybody else.In six seasons he finished as top scorer of the First Division. He is an English Football Hall of Fame nominee. Greaves started his competitive career in 1957 at Chelsea, and appeared in the FA Youth Cup final of the following year. He scored 124 goals in the First Division in just four seasons before selling to Italian side A.C. Milan in April 1961, for £ 80,000.
