Jessica Barden is an English playwright. She is best known for portraying Alyssa in The End of the F***ing World channel 4 show, and the film The Lobster (2015). In Tamara Drewe (2010), Hanna (2011), and Far from the Madding Crowd (2015), she also played minor roles. In 2016 she played Justine in Penny Dreadful. Her film debut was Mrs. Ratcliffe's Revolution (2007).She played Alyssa in the short film TEOTFW (2014), based on the graphic novel "The End of the Goddamn Universe." She picked up her part in The End of the F***ing World (2017) three years later, making her the only actress to star in both adaptations.
