Born in Brooklyn, NY, to Stan Victor, a writer / accountant father, and Barbara Victor, a case-worker mother (both from southern Nigeria), she is the middle child of three girls. She grew up between Brooklyn and Long Island and began dancing and playing piano at age 6. At age 13, an aunt had entered a pageant and won Miss New York Junior Teen.
