Hannah James is an American English actress. Raised by her British mother or American father on a ranch in Radiant, Virginia, James was homeschooled with her sister as she practiced ballet for seventeen years. Before moving to England to study at the Guildford School of Acting in Surrey, James auditioned after high school, and was admitted into several separate acting programmes.James was immediately picked up by UK agents upon graduating and headed back to America shortly afterwards to sign with U.S. agents and continue her first pilot season. She booked Mercy Street three months into LA life and soon jumped into TV and film culture. Since then James has starred in numerous TV shows, most prominently Starz's "Outlander" and CW's "Supergirl."
