How tall was Don Ameche?
Throughout the 1930s and '40s, Don Ameche was a versatile and successful American movie star, generally as the dapper, moustached leading man. During this time he also became famous as a ceremonial radio master. When his movie success diminished in the 1950s, he continued to work in theater, and even television. His film career started in the 1980s with a revival with fine work as an ageing millionaire at Trading Places (1983) and a rejuvenated oldster at Cocoon (1985). He was a major radio star. His teaming as "The Bickersons" with Frances Langford is considered classic radio comedy. "The Bickersons" was resurrected for a collection of albums or recordings.
