How tall was Claudette Colbert?
Emilie Claudette Chauchoin was born on 13 September 1903, in Saint Mandé, France, where her father operated a bakery at 57, rue de la République (now Avenue Général de Gaulle), one of the brightest film stars to grace the screen. Her first feature, "For Mike's Love" (1927). Unfortunately it has become a disappointment in the box office. She wasn't particularly involved in the entertainment industry but she had no choice but to continue despite an unprecedented shortage of theater roles. In 1929 she appeared in The Lady Lies (1929) as Joyce Roamer. The movie was a success and she had another hit later that year titled The Hole in the Wall (1929). In 1930 she appeared in Manslaughter (1930) opposite Fredric March, which was a remake of the eight year earlier silent version.
